Use Apple Magic Keyboard With Numeric Keypad

I am one of those developers who has to switch between Windows and MacOS multiple times during the day. I use Parallels to install Windows and Linux VMs on my MacBook Pro. One of the struggle is dealing with special keys and keypad short cuts between Windows and Apple machines. A very simple task like Page up and Page down is done differently in two environments. This just one example. When I am using development IDEs, there are so many actions for text editors that differ between Windows and MacBook. I was looking for something that could improve Quality of Life in these two environments.

I found the solution to my problem in Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad. If you look closely to right side of the keyboard in picture, there is a small section of keys like:

  • page up
  • page down
  • home
  • end

Since I do lot of computation work, numeric keys on the keyboard are just icing on the cake. If you struggle with shifting between Windows and MacOS key combinations, then Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keyboard is of great help.
