Yesterday I ran into a situation with pictures taken with my iPad. I was looking for some old pictures and could not find them. I remembered that I had taken those pictures with my old iPad. About 4 months my iPad broke down and Apple gave me a replacement iPad. I was looking around and found some applications that will allow you to view at old backed up content on your machine and then transfer that content. I was thinking why do I really need to pay for those application when there may be a simple way to retrieve that content. So here is process that I followed and got all the old content that was backed up when I replaced my iPad.
You will notice Backup section as shown in screen shot below.
Now click on Restore Backup button. It will bring up list of all iPad backups on your machine. Following screen shot that I have 3 back ups on my machine. The one at the bottom is old back up.
Click on the back up that you want to restore. Following screen shot shows that selected back up was done 3 months ago and that is the one I was looking for.
By following this simple process you can access your old content again without having to buy a third party application.
